The goal of this site and the squad is ...
- to register all our namesakes in the world
Jan and Marc still have found and registered more than 3000 namesakes. Aided by this site, our facebook group and of course your registration, they can link one day, who know, all the namesakes together.
- to find out more details of the origin of our name
Jan still found in the Belgian State Archives our name on a manuscript written in 1321.
- to praise all our ancestors
We will publish pictures on the site to thank our forefathers and publish articles, designs, portraits, poems,... to make a overview of all legendary namesakes, like Gauthier, Margriet, Pieter, Renaat, ...
- to bring closer the namesakes and their family
During our first namesake meeting of 29.January 2006, we were 357 persons including 187 namesakes came from all parts of Belgium and France and they have sung together our song of prease "Na Na Na Na Na Na".
The second meeting will be prepared for 2011 / 2012 ; will be there !
- to be creative by making unique spectacles together
22 musicians, singers, narrators, poets, text writers, men and women, professionals and amateurs,... all namesakes, presented the spectacle THERE WAS ONCE A "RUDDER" during the namesake meeting of 29.January 2006. It was a pure namesake spectacle; not only music and words were written by our namesakes, also the history was ours. From the prehistory till now, there were always legendary namesakes, and the group showed that during this unique spectacle.
